If there is anyone I would want to place my confidence in, it would be my doctor and dentist. My family has been patients of Dr. John's for almost 30 years, covering 3 generations. There is no one I trust more to take care of our needs than Dr. John and his staff. I love that Doc stays up to date on all the latest technology, and always has our best interest at heart. Insurance vs Cash and Go
Why wasn't my Insusrance payment considered, and I allowed to pay the balance,I feel that if I have Dental coverage it should be considered first and I be billed for the balance, I have an excellent credit rating, and have never had late or slow payment history in 45 years

Rosa, I checked into the situation and it is because your insurance only pays directly to the patient and will not pay the provider. Had your insurance agreed to pay us the benefits, then OF COURSE we would consider that estimate in your "amount due". Unfortunately, I have no control of the policies of your insurance. I hope that explains the situation, but if you would like to discuss it further, please call the office or we can discuss it further at your next appointment. I would like to be greeted with a glass of wine and appetizers and fuzzy slippers...no seriously, the staff is excellent and handled my children with care. Chris I am sorry for the confusion. It is NEVER our intention to missinform a patient. We try to treat everyone as we ourselves would want to be treated. I seem to remember there was a change in what you actually had done the day of your appointment and at best our estimate is based on the information your insurance provides us. Hopefully that won't be an issue again, but let's double check the information we have next time you are in the office.

My son, Mason, is only 5 yrs old. He already absolutely hated to go to the dentist, due to a prior "bad" experience at another dental office. After his first visit with Dr. V, I was amazed at how well he did. Mason was actually HAPPY to come back for the next visit. Dr. V was excellent with him.

I, myself, have always disliked going to the dentist, especially to have fillings or other work done. I now see Dr. V and I had conscious sedation for my last dental work. That was amazing. I felt no pain and I didn't remember any of the drilling or the visit for that matter. For me, it's the only way to go.

"Ever since I moved to John a few years back I continue to be amazed by two things. First, his support staff is the nicest in LaGrange, when I call they know who I am and am not "just another number". My work schedule tends to keep me busy and as a result I have to cancel more than a few appointments, not only will his office bend over backwards to fit me in, they even call when openings appear, rarely do you find that level of service anymore.
The second thing is how hard John and his staff work to stay in front of new techniques and procedures. Until I came to John, my teeth had been cleaned and checked the same way since I was a child. Well just as in any field time improves capabilities and this is obvious from your first visit. My teeth have been healthier and I no longer DREAD going to the dentist. I have been a patient of Dr. Vollenweider for many, many years. He does not fit the stereotype of "dentist". I have told so many people that his office is the only dentist office that you will ever enter and hear laughter from the patients! His staff is unbelievably kind and caring. There has never been a staff member who did not treat me as if I belonged to them. I have a liver disease and Dr. Vollenweider wrote a letter to my doctor at Piedmont to make sure I would receive the correct medication. That shows a deep well of caring that he has drawn on for me numerous times. He is not only an outstanding dentist but an outstanding human being as well.
