Never Treat a Stranger means several things. First you will find we try to listen to what a patient wants us to know. We don’t just treat teeth. The person connected to those teeth has emotional and personal facts that need to be taken into consideration.
But strictly from a clinical perspective I think it means we need to spend the time to gather a thorough dental and medical history. We will likely do things a little differently than you are accustomed to. We will need accurate records to adequately determine your needs. For adults, that will include digital radiographs, periodontal charting, photos and perhaps even study models and more for complicated cases.
Our patients are all different and we individualize our treatment methods accordingly.
We say we don’t like surprises unless it's your birthday or Christmas. If we spend the time it takes to get to know each other we will all be happier with the results.
If we spend the time getting to know each other, chances are we will both be happy with our treatment choices..
